Lewis Black entertains an empathetic crowd in Calgary with his blend of irritated rants and angry outbursts.

Prolific comic Lewis Black is a multi-talented funny machine. He brings his latest show, “Dual Citizenship Tour” across Canada including a stop in unfortunately cloudy Calgary.

Grey Days and Stage Lights

On his current tour Lewis Black opted to travel across the vastness of Canada by bus. Beginning in Ontario the star comedian road through the provinces in hopes of seeing some of the beauty of the nation. However the weather was uncooperative and Lewis Black got to experience the grey skies of Canada in springtime, which became the opener for his routine.

The packed house of the Jack Singer Concert Hall welcomed Black and his particular form of humor: agitated ranting. As he shared his tormented thoughts about America and Canada with trademark shouting he brought the audience to rising fits of laughter. Leaving to a standing ovation Lewis Black once again proved he has a powerful stage presence and can captivate a crowd.

A Life of Achievement

Lewis Black is not only a talented funny man but also an author and an actor. In his early days after finishing his education Black was the resident playwright at New York’s West Banks Caf’s Downstairs Theatre Bar. While writing for the stage he honed his craft as a stand-up comedian. Lewis Black has also been recognized with Grammy nominations for his comedic recordings and in 2007 he won for the Best Comedy Album category.

Lewis Black has also broken into the world of movies with notable parts in such films as Man of the Year and Accepted.
